Ignition Poker Review – #1 Rated SnG Poker Site

Ignition Poker LogoThere are few sites worth a sit n go grinder’s time. Most sites just don’t have the traffic, games, rewards or banking that sit n go players need. Not to mention that only the top 5-10% sites online are safe enough to play at. Our Ignition Poker review will show you that this is one site that you can ACTUALLY trust (you hear that Lock Poker a**hats and Full Flush d-bags???) with your bankroll and general conscience as well.

With that said, one of our goals here at Poker Sit n Gos is to find the best sites for grinding sit and go’s. On the chopping block today is Ignition – formerly Bovada.lv –  is one of the few poker sites remaining that accept US players. Let’s take a closer look at the newly re-branded Ignition Casino and Poker Room, shall we?!

Sit n Go Game Variety at Ignition Poker

Ignition offers a variety of games for you to grind. Not only can you play Holdem, but you can play Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Stud and Stud Hi/Lo sit n go’s, too. The most popular ones are of course of the Texas Holdem variety, which probably takes up about 80% of the sit and go’s running on this site at any particular time.

Game variations include turbos, double/triple turbos, beginner SnG’s, 6-max, multi-table, super turbos, hyper turbos and qualifiers. Stakes vary from $1.20 to $215. It is hands down one of the best poker sites for sit and go’s that I could possibly recommend, especially because of the game selection and variety of stakes all around.

I also enjoy Ignition because they really appeal to sit and go players with things like instant 10% cash bonuses, Weekly Cash Boost promos and even monthly freeroll qualifiers to bigger tournaments if you’re looking to switch it up a little bit as far as field size goes.

Ignition Poker’s Sit n Go Traffic

It’s difficult to determine how good the traffic is because Ignition doesn’t let you see how many games have finished, are currently running or how many players are in the sit and go section of the site. That said, just from watching the games fire I can say that there are sit n go’s running, but they were loading slowly and not one type of game or stake was starting more than the others.

Based on this I would have to say that you’ll need to load up some games yourself to determine if there is enough volume for you. For players looking to play a game here and there, I think you’ll definitely find that at Ignition. You can always load up a MTT, too; there are plenty of those running every day.

Ignition Poker’s Software

Lobby

The lobby is simple enough to use. There are boxes at the top that, when checked, will filter out the games you want to play. There aren’t as specific as I would like though. I’d like to be able to narrow my search down to a specific stake and game.

Unfortunately, you can’t see what games are already running or have been completed, either, as I already mentioned above. This makes it hard to determine if there are enough games running to keep you busy.

Table Description

One of the first things I noticed when I sat down at Ignition Poker is that they don’t display players’ names. Numbers (and colors) are used instead.

Obviously, this presents some challenges for players wanting to grind full time. It’s harder to distinguish regs, table select or play too many tables at once. There’s no way to use a HUD either, although I have read on various poker forums that it is possible to use Holdem Indicator.

You can take notes, though. However, any notes you take are only available for that game / session. This doesn’t make grinding sngs, multi-tabling or playing against good players any easier, that’s for sure.

Since Ignition doesn’t display players’ screen names, that renders HUDs like Holdem Manager and Poker Tracker useless. From what I understand the only tool that you can (hope to) use is Holdem Indicator.

Ignition Poker’s $1,000 Deposit Bonus

All players that sign up to Ignition for the first time will be eligible for the 100% up to $1,000 deposit bonus. This is a relatively large deposit bonus, and a great way to pad your bankroll.

They also have a separate $1,000 casino bonus if you’re looking to play the great table games and slots that Ignition also offers.

Unlike other sites, Ignition doesn’t release your bonus in small increments. Instead they have a structure that encourages playing more. The more you play, the more bonus money you will receive. Observe…

Level – Poker Points – Bonus Issued – Total Bonuses

  1. 50 points – $10 – $10
  2. 250 points – $40 – $50
  3. 750 points – $100 – $150
  4. 1,500 points – $150 – $300
  5. 3,000 points – $300 – $600
  6. 5,000 points – $400 – $1,000

To earn your points you’ll need to play real money games. 3 points are given for every $1 paid in tournament and sng fees, and .01-1 point is given out in cash games depending on the rake and what you contributed to the pot.

You’ll want to keep in mind that you’ll only have 60 days to complete your bonus. So you don’t want to be lazy. You may even have to load up some tournaments or cash games to complete the bonus on time, depending on how many SnG’s are running.

$100k New Player Qualifier

Ignition gives all new players 6 tokens to their Sunday $100k qualifier. To receive these tokens all you need to do is create an account, make a deposit and earn your first point.

The best part about these qualifiers is that they have a maximum of 1,000 players. So they won’t be so large that it takes incredible amounts of luck to qualify.

Banking Methods

Ignition Poker’s payment options include credit/debit cards and Bitcoin-only at this particular time. The people at Ignition keep it rather simple when it comes to their banking methods and limit it to credit cards and Bitcoin because of these reasons:

  • The former method (credit/debit cards) is tried and tested for decades now and has a rather high success rate.
  • The latter (bitcoin) is the future and is fast-becoming one of the best ways to deposit when it comes to funding online gaming accounts. Simply sign up for a bitcoin account at accredited sites like Coinbase or Blockchain.info.

Here is what the deposit screen looks like at the Ignition Casino and Poker Lobby:

Ignition is available 24/7/365.

Conclusion: Should Sit n Go Players Signup to Ignition?

Should you sign up to Ignition to play sit n go tournaments?

The short and sweet answer is simple: OF COURSE!

This is literally one of the only remaining sites that offer a huge slate of sit and go’s online around the clock. You can buy in for as little as a buck all the way up to $200+. The competition is “so so” and it’s not shark-infested like other rooms such as PokerStars or Americas Cardroom.

Do yourself a favor and sign up and claim your 100% bonus and start grinding away. The anonymous tables help you keep a low profile during your poker sessions and you never have to worry about bum-hunting reg’s looking to make a quick buck on you. Enjoy!
