Tiger Gaming Review

Tiger Gaming is a brand that has been around since the late 1990s and has now amassed a strong following, especially in North America. The gaming brand is home to sports betting, poker, and a full casino (including live casino games). Something that has greatly contributed to their positive reputation is the fact that Tiger Gaming is licensed by the government of Curacao, something that can be verified by way of the licensure logo in the bottom right of website.

As far as the layout and organization of the site is concerned, there is not too much to complain about. The different sections of the site (sports, casino, poker, etc.) are listed across the top banner and the homepage is not overly crowded with advertisements and other promotions. In fact, there is a completely separate section of the site dedicated to promotions and bonuses.

Tiger Gaming Poker

Tiger Gaming poker can be played directly within your web browser or, alternatively, you can download their poker software directly to your computer (separate downloads exist for Windows and Apple/Mac users). Once you choose how you would like to play, you will be redirected to the poker lobby. Like we experienced on the homepage, the poker lobby also adheres to strict organizational standards.

Across the top of the poker client, you can choose between ‘Cash Games’, ‘Tourneys’, ‘Sit & Go’, and ‘Windfall’. There is also a ‘Casino’ tab across the top banner, however this will redirect you to Tiger Gaming’s online casino.

Tiger Gaming Cash Games

Once you navigate to the listings of cash games, you can then filter by a variety of different metrics. For one, you can choose between looking at ‘All Games’, just ‘Hold ‘em’, just Omaha, or just ‘Texas 6+’. An additional, interesting feature is a set of two small checkboxes whereby you can show all full tables and/or all tables that have no one seated at them. This is helpful during peak hours during weeknights and on weekends, but during the week you will likely not need to do much filtering at all, as there is not an overwhelming number of games running at any single time. In fact, when this review was written, there were only 30 total cash game tables with player populations greater than two. To that end, it is worth mentioning that cash game tables can be comprised of six or nine players.

As is the case with most poker sites aimed at players from the United States, cash games at Tiger Gaming have the most players around the $0.05/$0.10 and $0.10/$0.25 stakes levels. These two specific stake levels are typically of the No Limit Hold’em variety, however there is a healthy number of Pot Limit Omaha games running at any given time as well.

For more serious cash game players, it is nice to know that there is ample action at higher stakes levels, such as $1/$2 and $5/$10. During off-hours you will see anywhere from two to five of these types of games and they are almost always going to be No Limit Hold’em. On weekends and during the evening hours during the week, the number of players and, thus, number of tables grows considerably.

Tiger Gaming Tournaments and Sit & Gos

As far as poker tournaments are concerned, there is an astonishing number available. In any single day, even during the week, you will find more than 50 individual tournaments happening at all hours. What we did notice however, was the fact that many of the tournaments—even a few minutes prior to starting—only had a few players registered. With that being said, tournament buy-ins are generally on the more affordable side of things. A quick scroll through the total listing of events will show you that buy-ins consistently fall below $10 and rarely exceed $30. Of course, there are plenty of exceptions that feature larger buy-ins, but by and large the offering of tournaments is something that will attract poker players of all types.

With regard to Sit & Gos, the story is mostly the same as it is with standard tournaments. There are an ample number of events available on a daily basis and, on top of this, buy-ins are more than affordable, sitting at $1.50 and $3.50 more often than not. The vast majority of sit & gos will be of the No Limit Hold’em variety, but you will also see plenty of Pot Limit Omaha (as well as Omaha H/L) and even a few games of Texas 6+ sprinkled in.

Finally, we have windfall sit & gos, which are exactly like standard sit & gos, only sped up. These faster tournaments feature only three players, which is a part of the reason why these events happen so quickly. Buy-ins for windfalls start at $3, but can reach up to $30.

Tiger Gaming Casino

The casino at Tiger Gaming immediately presents you with their offering of ‘Featured’ games. Across the top, you can additionally navigate to ‘Table Games’, ‘Slots’, ‘Live Casino’, ‘Video Poker’, and ‘Specialty Games’.

Table Games

Within the table games section of the site, you will find a small but essential grouping of table games. First and foremost is blackjack, of which there are more than 10 titles, including American blackjack, single deck blackjack (two versions), European blackjack, and single hand blackjack. There are other blackjack variations as well, including pontoon, 21 Burn, Pirate 21, and so on.

The ‘Craps and Roulette’ section offers two versions of both American and European roulette, common draw roulette, and Zoom roulette. Despite the sections title, there is but one craps game. The remaining table games include casino poker games like Caribbean poker, Pai Gow, and 3 Card Poker. Rounding out the table games section are two different baccarat titles.

Slots and Video Poker

The slots selection at Tiger Gaming leaves a little bit to be desired simply because it is so scant. In total, there are less than 100 titles that are not organized into any sort of comprehensible order. Apart from being able to group the total selection of slot titles in one spot, your only other sorting features include the ‘Most Played’ and ‘New’ sections. If you are looking for a specific game, your best bet is to scroll until you find it. In fact, the slot titles are not even listed in alphabetical order.

There is undoubtedly a healthy selection of quality slots, but the organization of them is haphazard to say the least.

Live Dealer Casino

The live dealer casino, or ‘Live Casino’ as it is referred to at Tiger Gaming, is perhaps the most exciting feature of the entire site. If you are unfamiliar with live dealer casinos, they feature human dealers that are live-streamed directly to your computer or mobile device. In essence, live dealer games perfectly intertwine the excitement of playing at a live, brick and mortar casino with the ease and convenience of being able to play at home, or wherever you choose.

As for the selection of live dealer games at Tiger Gaming, you will find blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and super6. As for blackjack, there are a total of 12 games. Blackjack Early Payout is one of the best because there is no cap on players and three different betting ranges; $5-$100, $25-$500, and $250-$5,000. While the rest of the blackjack tables allow for a maximum of seven players at a time, they all offer unlimited bet behind which means that tables are really never full. A full listing of the different tables by their betting limits can be found below:

  • $10-$500
  • $10-$1,000
  • $15-$750
  • $20-$1,000
  • $25-$2,500
  • $100-$5,000
  • $100-$10,000

As you can see, there is a lot of room for both recreational players as well as serious high-rollers.

With roulette, things are a good bit simpler in that Tiger Gaming only offers live dealer American and European roulette. With that said, each game is equipped with three different betting ranges. The betting minimums and maximums, which are the same for both versions of roulette, are:

  • $1-$100
  • $5-$500
  • $25-$5,000

Baccarat and Super6 are a lot like roulette in that each game has two tables that are both exactly the same as it relates to betting ranges. The live dealer baccarat betting ranges on Tiger Gaming are as follows:

  • $5-$100
  • $25-$500
  • $250-$5,000

Interestingly enough, the live dealer section of the site also features standard casino games, including slots, table games, and bingo. There aren’t a massive amount of these games, but they are definitely worth checking out.

Tiger Gaming Sportsbook

Understanding that Tiger Gaming is primarily targeting a North American-based audience, it should come as no surprise that their sportsbook focused on US sports and leagues more readily than those from other countries. This is immediately visible thanks to their ‘Popular Picks’ being things like basketball, baseball, and NCAA (basketball and football).

As for their selection of sports and leagues, you can rest-assured knowing that Tiger Gaming does not skimp. Leagues like the NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB feature extensive coverage. What we mean by this is that not only will you find standard moneyline, spread, and totals (over/under) betting for every event from these leagues, you will also find plenty of team and player props. What’s more, most of these aforementioned leagues will also have plenty of live, in-game betting options as well.

As you move away from classically American sports, Tiger Gaming’s coverage is still great. For soccer especially, there is an ample selection of leagues from around the world. While many other US sportsbooks neglect some of the smaller leagues from Europe and South America, Tiger Gaming does their best to cover competitions large and small. With that being said, of course, it goes without saying that the higher-profile events are covered in more detail, but even leagues like those from Sweden and Montenegro can be wagered upon at Tiger Gaming.

Below, you will find a full selection of the sports betting markets at Tiger Gaming:

Promotions at Tiger Gaming

Tiger Gaming has plenty of promotions aimed at casino and poker players, but interestingly enough the site lacks any promotions aimed at sports bettors nor new sign ups who have just made their first deposit. With that said, there is a welcome bonus aimed at new casino players who are planning on making their first deposit. The 100% matching bonus is worth up to $1,000 and is applied to your first three deposits. This promotions is more or less standard, but it is important to note that there is a rollover requirement of 30x, the bonus must be cleared within 30 days, and that only Betsoft games apply. This means that you cannot use the live dealer casino in order to satisfy the wagering requirements.

There are plenty of other promotions aimed at casino and poker players, and many of them change throughout the year. No matter what type of player you are, there is sure to be an attractive bonus or promotion aimed at your multiple times throughout a given year.
